Hi, I’m Arianna Litrenta.
I’m a San Diego–based photographer, recipe developer, and writer passionate about telling stories through food, travel, and lifestyle. In 2020, I founded Sunflower Creative Co. with a simple goal: to help bring each client’s story to life through thoughtful visuals, engaging recipes, and compelling writing.
I approach every project with a strategic and imaginative perspective, focusing on creating content that builds connection, strengthens brand identity, and delivers results across digital platforms. With a background in marketing, I understand how thoughtful visuals and storytelling can elevate a brand’s presence and engage audiences in meaningful ways.
more about me
What type of photography do you specialize in?
My expertise is in food photography, where I combine technical precision with creative styling to bring each dish, recipe, or product to life. I trained under a professional food stylist and have photographed restaurants since 2017, capturing everything from plated dishes and interiors to brand stories in motion. In addition to food, I also shoot product photography and select lifestyle projects.
What types of clients do you work with?
I work with brands and publications across the food, product, and travel industries, from restaurants and small businesses to national companies. My experience includes collaborations with snack brands, breweries, and alcohol companies, as well as lifestyle publications and creative agencies. Whether it’s developing recipes, shooting campaigns, or crafting stories, I love partnering with clients who value creativity, authenticity, and a strong visual identity.
What’s your recipe development background?
I’m entirely self-taught and built my foundation through hands-on experience. I ran a gluten-free food blog for five years, developing dozens of recipes and growing an engaged community around wholesome, accessible cooking. That experience continues to shape my creative approach today — blending flavor with visual storytelling and bringing expertise in gluten-free, vegan, and paleo recipe development to every project I take on.
What does your creative process look like?
I craft my process around each client’s unique needs, vision, and timeline. For photography and recipe projects, I begin by building detailed mood boards to align on style, lighting, and tone before the shoot. For writing, I provide structured outlines to ensure that brand messaging and storytelling goals are clear from the start. Collaboration and communication are at the center of everything I do, ensuring each project feels seamless and strategic from concept to delivery.
What kind of writing do you offer brands?
I primarily work with magazines and publications, writing editorial features focused on food, travel, and lifestyle. In addition to long-form storytelling, I have years of experience creating SEO-driven blog content, campaign copy, and product storytelling for brands. My goal with every piece is to balance strategy and creativity, while crafting meaningful articles that engage readers and support each client’s larger brand vision.
Do you work with clients outside of San Diego?
Yes! While I’m based in San Diego, I regularly work with clients across the United States, and most of my previous clients have been outside of California. Many of my photography, recipe development, and writing projects are completed remotely through detailed pre-production planning, digital proofs, and collaborative reviews. I’m also available to travel for on-location shoots, events, and editorial assignments when projects call for it.
What sets Sunflower Creative Co. apart?
With years of experience across food, product, and travel industries, I understand how to align creativity with strategy. Every project begins with a deep understanding of a brand’s goals and audience — allowing me to adjust my writing and photography style to match each brand’s unique voice and vision. Whether developing recipes, crafting editorial stories, or producing visual campaigns, I focus on executing work that feels authentic, cohesive, and impactful.
